What Is Outdoor Education?

Outdoor Education is a method of teaching a learning process in the outdoors for exploration and discovery about the environment using first-hand experience involving all courses of study.


Outdoor Education has 2 definition elements

  • A learning climate that takes place outdoors.
  • A method of teaching a learning process (problem solving).


What Outdoor Education Is and Isn't :

  • could be a subject
  • is not a subject itself
  • is not a repeat of what is done in the classroom (math under some trees)
